Student Moving FAQ

How much does a student move near Pitt cost?

Most student moves use our Just A Few Items tier — 2 movers for about 3 hours. Local moves are billed hourly with a 2-hour minimum. If it takes less time, you pay less. Get an exact quote in 60 seconds online.

Do you move students out of dorms?

Yes. We handle dorm move-outs, apartment-to-apartment moves, and graduation relocations. We know the loading zones and elevator access at University of Pittsburgh buildings.

Can you just load my rental truck?

Yes. Our loading-only option means we supply the labor and you supply the truck or pod. Great for moves where you want to drive yourself and save on cost.

How far in advance should I book for move-out day?

During move-out season (late April through May), we recommend booking 2-3 weeks ahead. Move-in season (August) fills up fast too. Book early for the best availability.

What about the elevator in my building?

Litchfield Towers and Nordenberg Hall have freight elevators. Bouquet Gardens is walk-up only. We bring our own padding and floor protection for every move.
